''Nominated Singapore Successful Entrepreneur 2012''

How we started

Back then in 2005 The Colourful Faces Studio was first established at Chinatown Smith Street as a portraiture studio specialising in family portraits, kids photography and corporate photoshoots. Founded by 2 fun-loving people Lisa Lum and Dean Choo who are passionate about life and capturing life memories .Since then it has builded its name for its personalized services in a Fun and Entertaining environment. The Colourful Faces Studio is extremely supportive of tertiary and local university events and being a company, which is youth-oriented as well, it draws the attention of young people. Every year, we has been successfully working with several tertiary institutions, local universities, major corporations as well as celebrities and artistes.
One fine day in 2006 we came up with the idea of bringing our studio outdoor so we started setting up our unique mobile studio that comes with professional lightings and backdrop at Nanyang Technological University for their freshman orientation event and it was so well-received by the students with our instant prints and fun props. I must say we became the ice-breaking segment where new friends start interacting and posing for photographs together.
Another fine day while attending a chinese wedding we realised there were many late-comers for the wedding and guests who came early were bored and loitering around doing nothing. Many bored guests want to leave early after dish number 4 or 5. So we thought of introducing our mobile studio and instant prints to one of our best friend's wedding and see how was the response. The guests were informed of our mobile studio prior to the wedding.Wow unexpectably all the guests came early at our mobile studio to have fun shots and family group shots taken. The wedding started on time and ended late because the guests keep wanting to take photos among themselves and with the bride and groom. Everyone was so amazed with their photographs printed instantly. Relatives and friends who have not seen each other for a long time were very delighted to have a photo taken together and a printout to bring home instantly. After that we start proposing to many events and weddings for our mobile studio instant prints services.
In 2008 we went on to introduce our mobile studio with instant photo mugs, photo magnets, photo mousepad, photo keychains , photo luggage tag, photo badges and photo coaster. Not only instant prints, guests at any of your events can bring home a souvenir customised with their photo on a novelty
Over the years the physical studio of The Colourful Faces Studio had moved 4 places and the last one at China Square Central. In 2010 we ended the operation of our physical studio and have our business fully run on Mobile studios and Instant prints serving more people at events and weddings.
In 2012 we are proud to be the recepient of the Successful Entreprenuer Awards

From a 2 man show, we are expanding to a team of 10 to serve more efficiently to our increasing customers.
This year 2017 we are at our 12th year of business operation,to date, we have photographed 13,219 studio portraiture, mobile studios, events and weddings and it is still counting.
